Airport Operations
Objective:
Learn about the fascinating world of airport operations by understanding the airport's role in history, the various agencies, airlines and companies found at an airport along with the important roles airport's play in the local and national economies. You will also appreciate the fascinating types of technology used at airports from x-ray machines to runway lightings.
Cargo is now turning into big business and is one of the pillars for an airline's success. With this unique and the first of its kind intensive IATA approved course, learn all about Airport Operations and the functions of various agencies, Cargo and Ramp (Ground) Operations and understanding airport economics in the aviation industry. Like in Passenger Services, which deals mostly with LIVE loads (Passengers), Ramp Operations deals with DEAD loads (Cargo, Mail & Baggage). This is a very interesting field, which deals with loading and unloading, load planning of the aircraft and a lot of other activities on the AIRSIDE (where the aircraft is parked).
